Jane Yang serves as vice president at the US-China Business Council (USCBC), where she leads the operations of the Shanghai representative office. She and her team support more than 270 member companies by delivering timely and practical services in public policy, government relations, strategic communications, and event programming—anchored in the evolving US-China relationship, regulatory landscape, and key industry developments.

Jane is a seasoned professional in risk management and government affairs, with over a decade of experience helping multinational companies navigate complex regulatory and business environments across China, the United States, and other global markets. She brings deep expertise in identifying and mitigating risk, fostering stakeholder engagement, and driving results through strategic planning and execution.

Her career spans both the private and public sectors, with experience across a wide range of industries including pharmaceuticals, medical technology, advanced manufacturing, consulting, and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining USCBC, Jane led business development and project management for Control Risks Group in the Yangtze River Delta area, supporting clients with tailored risk management solutions. Previously, she served as chief representative of the Yangtze River Delta Center for the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, where she supported foreign companies’ investment and operational needs and maintained close cooperation with local government stakeholders.

Jane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science from Soochow University and a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing from the University of Liverpool. She also completed further studies at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) US-China Center at Nanjing University.
