According to the stipulations of the Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Supervision is responsible for supervising different departments of the State Council and state civil servants, other personnel appointed by the State Council and different departments of the State Council, the people's governments of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, and their leaders.
The Ministry of Supervision handles the supervision affairs under the jurisdiction of the supervision department of the people's governments of different provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Supervision include
- Investigating problems of the different departments of the State Council, the people's governments of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in following and enforcing discipline, laws and regulations, and decisions and orders of the people's government
- Handling accusations that state administrative departments, civil servants, and other state administrative personnel have violated administrative disciplines
- Investigating and handling the behavior of state administrative departments, civil servants, and other state administrative personnel that have violated administrative disciplines
- Accepting appeals raised by civil servants and other state administrative personnel who do not obey administrative punishment decisions implemented by administrative departments, and other appeals that are supposed to be accepted by the Ministry of Supervision according to laws and regulations.
