Biography

Chen Qi is Professor of International Relations in the School of Social Sciences at Tsinghua University and Chief Expert for Key Programs of China's National Social Science Fund. He serves as Secretary General of the Center for International Security and Strategy and Chair of the Academic Committee of the Belt and Road Strategy Institute, both at Tsinghua University. Chen is also a member of the Expert Committee of the China Committee of 100 of Digital Economy. He is a Senior Advisor for AI governance for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and for foreign aid policy for the China International Development Cooperation Agency. He also serves China's National Social Science Fund as a reviewer and sits on the expert group for the UN Commission on Human Security. Chen is a Resident Scholar at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy and runs the Center's US-China Track II Dialogue.
