Park Pu is the Chairman of J.P. Morgan Securities (China) Company Limited (JPMSC). In this capacity, he drives strong local governance and maintains relationships with critical regulatory and governmental stakeholders. Park has played a critical role in the establishment of the firm’s majority-owned Securities Company to service more Chinese and international clients in China.
Park has more than 20 years of professional experience in the industry. He was the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Investment Banking of JPMSC from August 2019 to January 2021, when he oversaw the company’s operations and drove the growth in its investment banking business. Prior to that, he was the Vice Chairman of Investment Bank China in J.P. Morgan since October 2015. Park was Managing Director in Rothschild (Hong Kong) Limited from April 2008 to October 2015; Managing Director in UBS AG China from September 2005 to April 2008 and CEO in China Merchants Holdings (International) Company Limited from July 2002 to August 2005, and also held management roles in Fortune 100 companies including KPMG, PEI Ltd. and Ashland Group.
Over the years, Park has been dedicating himself to supporting the liberalization of China’s financial market and its integration into the world with his expertise and efforts.
Park received his bachelor’s degree of medicine from Peking Medical University in 1990 and a master’s degree of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. Park is a deputy Chair of Shanghai Stock Exchange’s Policy Advisory Committee and a member of its International Committee. He is also a member of Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s Board of Supervisors and a deputy director member of its Self-discipline Committee
