Scott Kronick
Biography
A 33-year Ogilvy veteran, Scott is responsible for the leadership and management of Ogilvy Public Relations & Influence across the highly awarded Asia-Pacific network, the largest and most influential international PR network in Asia.
Scott was instrumental in establishing Ogilvy Public Relations China in 1995, overseeing the opening of offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Under his leadership, Ogilvy served as counsel to Lenovo during the highly publicized Lenovo-IBM PC acquisition and produced critically-acclaimed campaigns including “Great Chinese Names for Great Britain” which picked up one Gold and two Silver PR Lions at the Cannes Lions 2015.
Scott has also provided senior counsel to various governmental bodies, including the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games and China’s State Council Information Office. He was instrumental in making Ogilvy the agency-of-record for the World Economic Forum in Asia, resulting in the creation of the Summer Davos conference.
His numerous personal awards include ranking on the Global Power List by PR Week from 2014-16, and he was featured in Campaign Asia as one of 11 Most Admired Agency Leaders in the region. Scott was also been awarded a prestigious Individual Achievement Sabre by the Holmes Report in 2012. He is a regular contributor to media titles including the Washington Post, China Daily and the South China Morning Post. A keen writer, Scott has authored a number of successful books.
