Mr. Stanford K. McCoy
Assistant United States Trade Representative for Intellectual Property and Innovation
Office of the United States Trade Representative
600 17th Street NW
Washington, DC 20508
Dear Mr. McCoy:
On behalf of the US-China Business Council (USCBC) and our more than 220 members doing business in China, we are pleased to submit comments and recommendations for the Office of the US Trade Representative’s (USTR’s) Special 301 Review. IPR protection remains one of the top challenges that US companies face as they seek to expand their business and investment in China. USCBC’s 2012 member company survey showed that 95 percent of respondents are “very concerned” or “somewhat concerned” about IPR protection in China.
