The United States and China have both fired warning shots on the growing field of bilateral trade disputes, though the most significant battle is likely still weeks away. China’s legislature concluded its session Tuesday with speeches by President Xi Jinping, recently confirmed into his second five-year term, and Premier Li Keqiang, reappointed to the position he has held for the past five years.
