However in a webinar on June 30th, Benjamin Crawford and François Renard, Partners at Allen & Overy, will shed some light on the areas where investors have not lost their appetite for deals in both developed and emerging markets. Collectively Benjamin and François bring over three decades of experience in cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, and antitrust. Benjamin Crawford, Partner, Allen & Overy (Beijing)
Benjamin’s practice is focused on cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures and complex shareholder and commercial arrangements, with extensive experience advising Chinese companies and investment funds on their global outbound transactions and multinational corporates on their Chinese inbound investments. He has significant experience advising on transactions across a number of industries including financial services, TMT and ENR.
Benjamin trained in A&O's London office and has worked in the firm's Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai offices. He is admitted to practice in both Hong Kong SAR and Victoria, Australia and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
François Renard, Partner, Allen & Overy (Hong Kong)
François is an antitrust specialist with more than 20 years of experience. He has managed and spearheaded Allen & Overy’s Greater China antitrust practice since November 2008. He has been advising U.S., European and Asian clients in all types of sectors on APAC (including China), EU and other national competition laws. François has worked on complex and award-winning matters throughout Asia, including in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan China and Korea.
François is qualified as an EU lawyer and Hong Kong solicitor. He regularly speaks and writes on the subject of antitrust and is recognised as a leading lawyer in numerous directories.
