Briefing on the US-China Alaska Meetings with the State Department
The US-China Business Council and US Chamber of Commerce are pleased to host an off-the-record, closed door virtual briefing with Jonathan Fritz, Deputy Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the Department of State, and Laura Rosenberger, Senior Director for China at the National Security Council, to brief member companies on the US-China meetings that begin today in Alaska.to brief member companies on the US-China meetings that happened last week in Alaska.
The meetings in Alaska were the first official, high-level meetings between the United States and China during the Biden administration. The US delegation was led by Secretary of State Tony Blinken and National Security Advisory Jake Sullivan. China’s chief diplomat and politburo member, Yang Jiechi, and China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, led the Chinese side.
