Environmental Goods Agreement Beijing Symposium: How it makes a Win-Win Relationship for the Environment and Business
The US-China Business Council (USCBC) is pleased to invite you to an Environmental Goods Agreement (EGA) symposium in Beijing, hosted by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. This symposium aims to provide an update on the status of EGA negotiations and how the EGA would establish a win-win relationship for the environment and business.
By implementing tariff elimination of environmental goods that can contribute to environmental protection and climate change mitigation, the EGA promotes the import/export of products and technologies related to environment and energy. It is an initiative driven by 46 WTO members.
This symposium will provide the audience with a keynote speech from Professor Tu Xinquan of UIBE, one of the leading experts on the area of trade and environment in China, followed by 2 panel discussions, speakers from Chinese, European, Japanese and US industries, academic and government agencies. It is a unique opportunity to discuss the impact on economy, environment, and industry and the contributions by EGA from various angles. We look forward to your participation.
