Presidential Appointments and Implications for the Biden Administration’s China Policy

With Biden’s win in the presidential election, attention is turning to the question of who Biden will pick for his cabinet and how these individuals will impact China policy. While Biden policy advisors have sent signals on how a new administration might handle China policy, a lot may depend on the individuals appointed to fill key executive branch roles.
To explore this topic, please join us to hear from Beth Baltzan, founder and principal at American Phoenix Trade Advisory Services, William Reinsch, who holds the Scholl Chair in International Business at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Reinsch previously led the National Foreign Trade Council and served as a chair of the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission. Baltzan has consulted and served as legal counsel in private and public service roles, including at the office of the United States Trade Representative, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and the House Ways and Means Committee.
