US-China Financial Decoupling and Implications for US Companies

The President's Working Group on Financial Markets recently issued a report outlining recommendations to address risks that US-listed Chinese companies pose to American investors and financial markets. The report and pending Congressional legislation could lead to the de-listing of Chinese companies within the next two years. Please join the US-China Business Council for a conversation with Claudius Modesti and Liza Mark on measures targeting US-listed Chinese companies, potential financial decoupling between the US and China, and implications for American companies. Claudius Modesti is a Partner at Akin Group, and was formerly a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) enforcement attorney, federal prosecutor, and first director of the Division of Enforcement for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Liza Mark is the administrative partner of the Shanghai office of Haynes and Boone and practiced both in the US and in HK as a capital markets attorney.
