During the Obama Administration’s first term, the United States and China undertook a renewed focus on “people-to-people” exchanges – increased personal contacts between American and Chinese citizens that Presidents Obama and Xi have touted as ways to build bridges between the two countries, separate from the politics of the relationship.
The US-China Business Council (USCBC) is pleased to invite you to an update on two programs related to these efforts: the 100,000 Strong Foundation and the Fund for Education Abroad, both of which are working to meet President Obama’s goal of dramatically increasing the number and diversity of American students studying in China. The meeting will cover both programs’ efforts to date, future plans, and opportunities for involvement by US corporations.
This meeting will be entirely off the record and is by invitation only for USCBC members and invited guests.
