Washington Roundtable Discussion with Jiangsu IP Delegation
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and US-China Business Council are pleased to invite members to a roundtable discussion on innovation and intellectual property issues with a visiting delegation of officials from Jiangsu Province led by Zhi Suping, deputy director, Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office.
The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has engaged in ongoing discussions with senior officials from China’s Jiangsu Province – a province with significant foreign operations and a high volume of intellectual property (IP) – under an existing memorandum of agreement (MOU) to promote bilateral engagement on IP issues. USPTO Acting Director Teresa Stanek Rea met with senior officials in Nanjing in early September, and the agency is now hosting a visiting delegation from Jiangsu province to continue discussions on IP cooperation.
Please join us for a roundtable discussion with the visiting delegation led by Zhi Suping. Other delegation members come from a range of IP-related agencies and organizations in Jiangsu, including the provincial Public Security Bureau, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Finance, and the Patent Information and Service Center and agencies in Suzhou, Wuxi, and Nanjing. A full delegation list can be found here. After brief introductions, the bulk of time will be left for an open discussion about innovation and IP issues.
This meeting will be off the record.
