Washington Roundtable: Patent Registration, Enforcement, and Innovation in China
Innovation and intellectual property rights continue to rank among the top issues US companies face in China, and both topics are increasingly prominent on the bilateral agenda. Patents are a critical piece of these discussions, given China’s push to increase the quantity and quality of IP registered in China as well as its evolving legal environment for patent registration and enforcement.
Please join us for a moderated roundtable with Chen Fuli, IPR attaché at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, and Thomas T. Moga, partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP. Chen and Moga will discuss a number of issues related to patent registration and enforcement in China, including PRC policies and programs to promote innovation and patent development. They will also discuss ongoing revisions of the Patent Law, patent quality and registration issues, and challenges faced by Chinese courts and US companies in patent litigation.
This program will feature a moderated discussion between the panelists, followed by ample time for Q&A with the audience.
A conference call line will be available for this program. Please contact Betsy Gass ([email protected]) to request the information on how to dial in.
This event is for members and invited guests of USCBC only.
