Katherine Potter Thompson

Katherine Potter Thompson began her career in arts administration, serving as a program aide at the National Endowment for the Arts, managing director of Edison Theatre at Washington University in St. Louis, and director of professional development at the Association of Performing Arts Presenters in Washington, DC. She subsequently joined a marketing and communications firm as creative director for corporations and nonprofits, then started her own business transformation firm, Helix Associates. Invited to work for National Geographic, Katherine served first as director of marketing, then director of programming for National Geographic Live, a division that toured Nat Geo talent to nine countries. As interim director of communications and publications at USCBC, Katherine oversees all communications to the membership and media and supervises content on the USCBC website and in the digital magazine China Business Review.
