Beijing Woos US and Other Foreign Companies as Trade War Takes Toll

Beijing this month has floated draft guidelines for a new foreign-investment law, while the National Development Reform Commission published new regulations aimed at cutting red tape for all businesses. Both go into effect next year. Executives from two foreign business lobby groups, the US-China Business Council and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, said they noticed some encouraging points in the draft guidelines for the foreign-investment law.
