US businesses "remain bullish" on China despite coronavirus

US businesses "remain bullish" on China despite the novel coronavirus outbreak, a spokesperson for the US-China Business Council (USCBC) told Xinhua on Friday. "Those taking a long-term view are betting the economy will continue to grow faster than in most other markets and that the Chinese consumer in particular will propel growth," Doug Barry, senior director of communications and publications at the USCBC, told Xinhua. "Companies want to be in China. They need to be in China," said Barry, whose organization represents more than 200 US companies that do business with China.
