Inauguration: Trump puts forth 'America First' policy

Donald Trump was sworn in as US president on January 20 and used his inaugural address to lay out his vision for US engagement with the world on trade and other issues. A top advisor has noted that Trump’s approach will be in contrast to the views recently expressed by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump put forth his “America First” policy: “Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs, will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our products, stealing our companies, and destroying our jobs. Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength.”
