After more than a decade, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on December 28, 2015 released a revised edition of China’s Telecommunications Catalogue, effective March 1, 2016.
“Made in China 2025” got a boost on June 24 when the State Council formed a high-level interagency task force to direct the initiative, entitled the Leading Group for Creating a Strong Manufacturing Country. The new group will be responsible for reviewing and implementing the Made in China 2025 plan, a ten-year blueprint to increase China’s manufacturing competitiveness.
On January 13, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a circular notice completely removing the foreign equity cap for investment in e-commerce companies in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone (Shanghai FTZ). The notice allows foreign-invested enterprises to control 100 percent stakes in such companies.
