50 Years: Making History Together & Building for the Next 50
This year’s Gala celebrated a half-century of US-China Business Council’s leadership, achievements, and partnerships in support of expanding the US-China commercial relationship. Over 500 leaders from the business, government, diplomatic, and academic communities attended the event, featuring distinguished speakers and honoring key stakeholders who have contributed to building and strengthening the bilateral relationship.
The occasion was underscored by congratulatory letters from President Joe Biden and President Xi Jinping on USCBC’s 50th anniversary. Highlights of the event’s program included the reading of the presidential letters by the US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns and the Chinese Ambassador to the US Xie Feng, respectively. The event’s distinguished keynote speaker, US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, shared reflections on the US-China economic relationship over the past and coming years.
Additionally, USCBC President Craig Allen offered a toast to celebrate the life and legacy of former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger for his many contributions to the US-China relationship.
USCBC expresses gratitude for receiving congratulatory letters from both governments on the organization’s 50th anniversary and extends its appreciation to all those from the business, government, diplomatic, and academic communities for their continuous support in USCBC’s mission to expand the US-China commercial relationship.
