Wang Qishan is vice president of the People’s Republic of China, a position he assumed in 2018. Prior to his appointment as vice president, Wang served as the Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the party’s anti-corruption body, and a member of the Politburo Standing Committee, China’s highest decision-making body.
As vice premier, Wang frequently stressed the importance of providing a transparent, level playing field for foreign investors.
