Is China on the Cusp of Another Growth Boom?
In his new book China’s Economic Challenge: Unconventional Success, Dr. Albert Keidel recounts the basis for China’s economic success since Mao’s death in 1976 and argues that continuity in strategies from past decades through the Xi Jinping period is poised to further generate rapid growth and market transformation in the decade after COVID-19 subsides. The coming decade of growth and enhanced labor productivity won’t be jeopardized by potential weaknesses in international markets. Even though the book illustrates ways that China’s overall economy will likely be twice the size of America’s by mid-century, on a per-capita basis China will still lag far behind.
Join Dr. Keidel and USCBC President Craig Allen for a discussion of implications for US business and overall US-China relations.
