The US-China Business Council Condemns Violence Against Asian Americans
After alarming reports of violence in Atlanta apparently targeting the Asian American community, the US-China Business Council (USCBC) calls on local governments and community organizations throughout the country to protect Asian Americans against violence and discrimination.
“Violence against Asian Americans is violence against our most cherished principles and values as Americans,” said USCBC President Craig Allen. “Addressing the root cause of this troubling action is critically important, which is why USCBC supports President Biden’s directive to the US attorney general to support state and local agencies to combat discrimination, harassment, and hate crimes against Asian Americans.”
We recognize the invaluable contributions Asian Americans have made and continue to make in the United States. We stand together with them and with others who have experienced systemic injustice and demand equal protection under law.
