WASHINGTON—October 28, 2024—The US-China Business Council (USCBC), a private, nonpartisan, nonprofit trade organization of more than 270 American companies that do business in China, today filed public comments with the Department of Commerce regarding its notice of proposed rulemaking on “Securing the Information and Communications Technology and Services Supply Chain: Connected Vehicles.”
In its comments, USCBC stressed the importance of national security concerns and the need for clear and effective guidance so that companies can implement the rules. USCBC also reiterated its commitment to remain a constructive resource to the US government throughout the rulemaking process.
Established in 1973, USCBC represents many of the world’s most iconic brands operating in China, and for more than 50 years has advocated on behalf of its members while promoting the many benefits of commercial exchange between the United States and China.
