USCBC Hosts Roundtable with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Delegation

WASHINGTON — July 31, 2026 — The US-China Business Council today hosted a delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led by Chairman Ren Hongbin. USCBC members and several Chinese company representatives joined the meeting, where discussion focused on promoting US-China commercial relations.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Ren emphasized the importance of the business communities of both countries doing their part to promote stability in the bilateral relationship, applauding improvements seen since the two presidents met in May.

USCBC President Sean Stein expressed hope that President Xi Jinping’s expected visit to Washington in September will bring further positive momentum to commercial relations, underscoring that American companies remain committed to the China market.
