Gloria González-Micklin is vice president of programs and strategic partnerships at the US-China Business Council, where she leads development, fundraising, diplomatic relations, and leadership positioning of USCBC.
Since 1998, she has initiated and overseen hundreds of programs for senior Chinese and American leaders, C-suite executives, and key stakeholders in US-China relations. As chief fundraiser, she launched the organization’s annual galas and manages its principal non-dues revenue. Gloria is recognized among USCBC’s chief architects of the close and trusting relationship the organization has established with Chinese diplomats and government officials at various ministries in Beijing. She developed “China on the Hill,” connecting business representatives with congressional legislators to help members of Congress understand realities for US companies in China.
She holds a graduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and lived at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center from 1992 to 1996, where she established the Jim Townsend and Sandy Perry Memorial Endowment Fellowship in 2003. González-Micklin is a member of the National Committee on US-China Relations and Women’s Foreign Policy Group. Originally from Colombia, she immigrated with her family to the US in the early 1970s.
