Hui Shan

Hui Shan is a Chief China Economist at Goldman Sachs based in Hong Kong. Hui joined Goldman Sachs in New York in 2011, previously working on the Global Markets team focusing on the US housing and mortgage markets and the Commodities Research team heading the metals research. Hui was named managing director in 2019.

Prior to joining the firm, Hui worked as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

Hui earned a PhD in Economics from MIT and a BS in Economics and Biophysics from the University of Michigan.
