USCBC’s 43rd Annual Meeting

Jennifer Lawrence of Cambridge Corporate Training and Felicia Choy of Choy-Valentine work with American companies to train their employees to navigate internal corporate culture, and develop skills as they work on government affairs in China and the US. In a session moderated by Jacob Parker of the US-China Business Council, they explored what works best for companies with seamless profiles in the US and China.

Ebrahim Rahbari, director of global economics at Citi Research provided his assessment of China’s economy and Dennis Wilder, assistant professor and senior fellow at Georgetown University, shared his views on US-China policy and politics.

Jacob Parker, USCBC’s vice president for China operations, presented the findings of USCBC and Shanghai-based China CIO Alliance’s (CCA’s) research on the effect of these policies on foreign companies’ operations in China. Also speaking at the meeting was Edward Alden, Bernard L. Schwartz Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, who discussed how companies should approach these issues during this election cycle and beyond.
