China Hawks and Wall Street Executives to Staff Trump’s New Cabinet
On December 10th, the State Council announced the dates for 2016 national holidays. As with last year, the Lunar New Year holiday comes with a working day during the weekends before and after the weeklong holiday. The other weeklong National Day holiday is followed by a two-day working weekend.
The 2016 dates for major holidays and adjusted working days are follows:
New Year’s Day: Jan. 1-3
Spring Festival (Chinese Lunar New Year): Feb. 3-13. Working days: Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 14
Qingming (Tomp-Sweeping Day): April 4- 6
Worker’s Day: May 1-2.
Duanwu (Dragon Boat Festival): June 9-11th. Working day: Sunday, June 12
Mid-Autumn Festival: Sept. 15-17. Working day: Sunday, Sept. 18
National Day: Oct. 1-7. Working days: Saturday Oct. 8–Sunday, Oct. 9
